I'm that 14 year old kid from a refugee camp who finally got internet at home and the first thing I did was Google "how to build a website." My very first site was actually built with vBulletin. I was so proud of it.
Then I found WordPress, and that was it for me. I built a site about tech news, but honestly I spent way more time making it look cool than actually writing anything. Changing fonts, picking colors, refreshing the page over and over just to see it live. I felt like I discovered something big. I started sharing what I learned on a famous Arabic forum — a forum for Arab developers where I waited a whole year just to get a membership — sometimes right after I learned it, barely understanding it myself. 😆
Many years later, I still have the same energy. Still excited when things work. And that kid now makes his living and his family's from writing code, with 14+ years of WordPress & WooCommerce experience, which is really just 14 years of "let me try one more thing".
