Feature request for entering GSM codes using letters

Feature description

Hello,

I have a feature request.
I want to enter a GSM code that includes letters on the keyboard,
e.g., ##BCR##

When I hold down the 2 key for an extended period, nothing happens.

If I copy this code using the clipboard, the letters disappear immediately.

However, when I paste this code from clipboard into the default LineageOS phone app, it executes immediately.

An app provides this code to hide itself in the app drawer.

Long-press is unnecessary, as your example code can be typed as *#*#227#*#*. Fossify Phone should convert the pasted letters to numbers and execute as in other dialer apps.

Hi,
how does the phone recognize whether the number 2 corresponds to A, B, or C, and whether the number 7 corresponds to P, Q, R, or S?

When I copy the code ##BCR## from the clipboard into Fossify Phone, the letters are immediately deleted automatically, and it only shows #### with nothing happening.

As I mentioned before, this works with the letters BCR only in the default LineageOS phone app.
