Landmines will spawn in the world. Watch your feet. Once you step on a landmine your fate is sealed. Trying to leave or break the mine will result in imediate detonation. Some mines dont give you that freedom, they just explode. It will be a painless death though.
Disarm a landmine by carefully breaking the pressure plate and the tnt.
