notifications on Apple

I don’t get notifications from the app on my iPad nor iPhone; they only start popping up when I open the app.
I don’t know if this is an Apple problem or the app’s code

The system decides when and if NetNewsWire can run in the background and send notifications.

It decides based on how often you run NetNewsWire — and it also pays attention to whether or not you force-quit it. So the best thing to do is run it often and never force-quit it.
