How does a client find the server?

Do users have to specify an endpoint?
Does the client do this automatically?
mDNS?

And where is the endpoint?
Can the server software pick one?
Or is this fixed to /space-market/vX? /space_market/vX? /api/vX?
Edit: I think /api/vX makes the most sense.

If manuel configuration is used:
A fixed endpoint will be handy. So the user only need the configure the name of the server proividing the api. e.g: foo.bar will automaticly become foo.bar/api/vX/

If zeroconf is used:
Not sure what the best solution looks like. I'll be fine with a fixed endpoint and only the server being announced via zeroconf or the server and the endpoint both announced via avahi.

Considering both options I think we should use a fixed endpoint. It's more flexible. When announced via avahi it doesn't hurt but it's easier for the users who configure their clients manually.
