I am an external developer interested in exploring the AirLab project for testing and research. I have been following the Getting Started documentation, but I noticed that pulling pre-built images from the AirLab Docker registry (airlab-docker.andrew.cmu.edu) currently requires a CMU Andrew ID.
Problem
While I understand that building the images from source locally is an option, having access to pre-built public images would significantly lower the barrier for external users to quickly test and prototype with the stack.
Proposed Solution
Would the team consider hosting a public image mirror on a platform like GitHub Container Registry (GHCR) or Docker Hub? This would allow the community to pull stable versions of the images directly without needing internal university credentials.
Additional Context
I am very excited about the work being done here and would love to dive into the code for testing. If there is already a public mirror available or a preferred way for external users to access pre-built images that I might have missed, please let me know!
Thank you for your time and for making this project open source.
