Default log level does not work in vscode.dev

Repro:

1. Open https://insiders.vscode.dev/github/microsoft/vscode-markdown-languageservice
2. Set default log level to trace
3. Reload the window
4. Open set log level, it shows the default is trace but the active is info

This happens also in local VSCode not only vscode.dev. I'm trying to change the default to be error except git channel to be info so I start VSCode using:
code --log={error,vscode.git:trace} .
You can see the defaults indeed were set as expected but they are not the active ones. Why? Is there some workaround for this bug?

@sandy081 is this even the right way to do what I need? I need to set the default level of everything to "error" and only git extension to "info".
Another approach I can take is to set all the logs in the red square to "error" but I'm not sure if it is possible to do it and how? We don't want to spam the output channel with the many logs written in these channels as it slows down our system.

@veredcon This is not same as the reported issue. Please file a separate issue with steps to reproduce.

code --log={error,vscode.git:trace} .

This should set the active log level not the default log level. You cannot set the default log level from command line.
