I don't know how much hassle it is, but we might put some memo that this file is just a workaround for Travis's old pkg-config. There was a problem hiding this comment. Well, if redshift is supposed to support wayland on ubuntu 14.04 we should vendor the file and not require users to mess with this manually. As for adding the note: True point, can you add it where you see fit?

Ubunutu 14.04 has no more desktop/server support. It only has extended security maintenance. It seems fair to drop support for it already, and forget skip this problem. |

Yes, they are generated from the .xml files at build time
