Project is abandoned

This project appears to be abandoned, with no commits in almost 3 years and no answers to broken behaviors.

@paddycarey @smithtopher @MRigal : Are there any plans to maintain this project? If not, would you consider handing it off to someone else?

I'm willing to take over maintenance. I'd prefer to do that than fork it.

If you want the easiest path, simply transfer the PyPI project to me (jaraco) as owner, and I'll take it from there. If you also would be willing to transfer the GitHub repo to me, that would help ease the transition for other users.

Hi @jaraco, I haven't been at Shopkeep for a number of years so I'm not sure what their plans are here.

Shopkeep was acquired by another company a year or two ago so I'm not sure if this is still used internally any more at all. Let me reach out again to some of my contacts there and see if I can get any info for you.
